What is a Psychotraumatologist
RITS®?
A Psychotraumatologist
RITS®
is specialized in dealing with stress and crisis
management and is trained in helping people who has met with violence, great
losses, bereavement, accidents, problems of great guilt or other things affecting
quality of life.
The help consists of a short set of sessions. The core purpose is helping the
person realize what has happened, why the person responds as he or she does, and
how he or she can get on with life.

Education and training in Psykotrauma-tology RITS®
The Norwegian
company SOSCON - Institute of Psychotraumatology and Hedmark
University College offers the certified training in RITS® in Norway
and Sweden.
The training covers 8 steps, each lasting for 2 to 5 days. Besides the training
one must pass a number of written papers and oral presentations before
graduation.
The RITS® training is approved with 60 ECTS points.

In Denmark the
Emergency Management Agency
(DEMA) offers the first 4 steps of the
certified RITS® training. |
